In this week's episode, I share an easy 'fill-in-the-blanks' template to script your elevator pitch and attract clients as a health expert offering coaching or consulting services.
So why does your pitch matter?
You’re a health expert. You have years of experience and know your stuff. But when it comes to offering your services as a coach or consultant, you may be wondering why your pitch matters.
Think about it this way: when you’re seeking out a health coach or consultant, you want someone who is knowledgeable and can help you achieve your goals. But you also want someone who is relatable and can connect with you on a personal level. That’s where your pitch comes in.
Your pitch is an opportunity to show potential clients that you’re not only an expert in your field, but that you’re also someone they can trust. Let's explore some tips on how to craft a winning pitch as a health expert.
Tip #1: Keep It Simple
When crafting your pitch, it’s important to keep it simple. You don’t need to overwhelm potential clients with jargon or technical terms. Instead, focus on communicating what you do in language that is easy to understand.
Tip #2: Be Concise
In addition to keeping your pitch simple, you also want to be concise. This means getting straight to the point and avoiding filler words or fluff. Remember, potential clients are busy people and they don’t have time to listen to a long-winded pitch. Keep it short, sweet, and to the point.
Tip #3: Tell a Story
One of the best ways to connect with potential clients is by telling a story. Stories humanise you and help potential clients see you as more than just an expert in your field. When telling your story, focus on sharing something personal that will resonate with the client.
For example, if you’re a health coach who specialises in helping people lose weight, you might share your own story of struggling with weight loss in the past and how you were finally able to achieve success with the help of a health coach.
